The lethal injection is just as bad as any other method of execution. Miscarriages of justice discredit the death penalty on any grounds.

I really like them both, although I remember thinking that the 'stuff of life' video was a bit M&S at the very start.

Yes, it's rather galling, isn't it? A case of "Do as I say, not as I do".

I agree about the waterboarding video, I never realised it was *that* bad, I can't believe the US can deny that it's torture...

Yeah, the cartoon felt a little odd. It's perhaps because I juxtaposed it with the very slick Stuff of Life video though. I think once the rest of the four animations come out there will be a better context and (more importantly) coherence.

The waterboarding video is good and pretty effective, I thought.

The cartoon? Too simplistic, almost feels more like it's taking the piss out of Amnesty than anything else. Meh.

That's interesting.

The sound makes very little difference, it's just standard Radiohead-gloom fare. Is there any information to go with the video? Because without, I feel it's not terribly clear. Still, good to see that something's in the works.

I am of the opinion that we must engage in peaceful protest throughout the run up to the Olympics; as this will then not allow the issues surrounding the terrible human rights abuses throughout China to be forgotten or indeed hidden underneath the glamorous Olympic processional ceremonies. However I do stress the word peaceful, attacking an innocent participator does nothing for either amnesty's cause, nor does it do anything to help the people who are suffering from the terrible conditions within china. These people are oppressed because the Chinese Government can ensure that they are seen as aggressors; we acknowledge that they are not, but protests such as these will not help convince the Chinese Governments any quicker.
